About Future Mom Academy
The online platform that will optimally prepare you for motherhood.
We at Future Mom think it is incredibly important that you, as a pregnant woman, are well informed during your pregnancy. That is why we work together with midwives, gynaecologists and experts to provide you with the best information in a fun, beautiful and accessible way.
It all started with our magazine
You can pick up a free copy of the beautifully designed Future Mom Magazine at your midwifery practice. Our editor-in-chief Marlies Koers, known for her bestselling books Dagboek van een verloskundige (Diary of a midwife) and Sorry dat ik je wakker bel (Sorry to wake you), together with her team of practising midwives and other medical specialists, that you can read the best information in the magazine.
Various studies have shown that parents who prepare well for childbirth look back on it better later. And of course we wish that for everyone!
Our midwife Geke Beckerman, known from the Zwanger & Zo podcast, has therefore joined us in creating our online pregnancy course. In 9 modules with 24 professional videos and two bonus modules, she will take you through everything that is involved in the birth of your child.
This way, for you as a Future Mom, we ensure in a fun, accessible and reliable way that you are completely ready for perhaps the biggest change in your life.

Did you know that up to 80% of what the doctor tells you is forgotten within a few hours?
Research shows that patients remember only 20 to 60 percent of the information provided during a medical consultation?1
Of the information that is remembered, about half is misunderstood or misremembered. This is not surprising, because medical conversations can be stressful, often contain complex information and use technical terms that you do not hear every day.
That is precisely why we believe in the power of an online course that you can review at any time. By repeating information and offering it in manageable chunks, knowledge is retained better. We also add visual support, such as illustrations and clear video explanations, which improves the retention and understanding of the information by 30 to 50 percent.2.
Our goal is simple: to ensure that you are fully informed and can look forward to your pregnancy with confidence. Our online course offers you not only convenience, but above all certainty. Because being well informed is half the battle.
